Mission and objectives:

The objective of the Controlling Coordinator is to actively participate in establishing budget & actual reports for expenses related to General Affairs & Administration, forecasting performance, identifying & analyzing variances, and challenging the organization. The scope of work specifically relates to the Nissan Nordic Europe (NNE): Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden

All those serve the main objective which is to support the company in achieving its business targets.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in annual budgets preparation, forecast and month-end financial closing activities related to G&A expenses.
  • Monitor performance against plan and forecasts, assess variances to personnel costs and overhead expenses and identify potential countermeasures.
  • Interface with NNE local HR function and business functions to ensure control on headcount, salaries, travel expenses, procured services and other operating costs.
  • Support Nissan Automotive Europe (NAE) HQ and NNE HR and Finance functions with the preparation of monthly financial reports, ad hoc reports and analysis.
  • Establish processes to secure financial control and reconciliation.

Additional tasks and responsibilities

  • Leads and participates in projects, both Finance and cross functional, when necessary
  • Raises flags on potential concerns in any functional area.
  • Other tasks assigned by the Manager
    (Within the scope of the employer’s right of management)
  • Travels to the extent necessary to perform the position duties.

Background & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years professional experience
  • Experience within an international, matrix organisation is highly advantageous
  • Higher education at Bachelors’ level within finance, controlling or business, or equivalent experience

Skills, abilities and languages: 

  • Excellent MS Excel skills is a must, knowledge of SAP is also preferred.
  • Ability to work independently from Hungary, yet as part of a team at NNE.
  • Fluent in English.
  • (Other Nordic languages are considered as an advantage)
