Team/Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team in Citi’s Services’ Regulatory Management and Controls organisation looking across both Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) and Wealth businesses in terms of PSD2 Compliance.  The Regulatory Management and Controls organisation is part of Services’ 1st line of defence.  The business is currently on a comprehensive transformation program to standardise our approach to managing and monitoring PSD2 as a Tier 1 regulation for Citi.

What you’ll do:

This is a Senior Vice President role with the mandate to monitor compliance with PSD2 across all product lines.  Leading the identification of opportunities to enhance our regulatory environment for PSD2.  The role is expected to work closely with stakeholders across TTS (product, operations and technology) and partner with other teams such as our Wealth business for execution.  Expertise in PSD2 and a deep knowledge in financial products is a must.

  • Responsibility to monitor Compliance with PSD2 requirements and any associated or secondary regulation across all in scope countries and products in Europe.
  • Identifying any enhancements to documentation, controls and / or processes in place to comply with PSD2 and any associated regulation.
  • Establish and provide effective governance over a Tier 1 regulation and preparing reports and presentations, escalations for Senior Management in Citi in line with firmwide guidelines including but not limited to the Regulatory ownership and accountability framework.
  • Act as a key resource for impacted Product / Cluster areas to advise and support on the effective design and implementation of key controls and processes that relate to PSD2.
  • Co-ordinate and manage compliance monitoring routines or internal audits related to PSD2.
  • Serve as a key contributor to Service’s regulatory forums.
  • Support management in any engagement with regulators on PSD2.

What we’ll need from you:

  • Significant expertise in Compliance, Operational Risk Management, Legal or other regulatory related function within Financial Services sector.
  • Deep understanding of PSD2 and payment processes is required, and an understanding of associated digital products preferred.
  • Proven record in monitoring compliance to regulation including controls and process mapping.
  • Excellent business acumen, and ability to quickly understand multiple areas within a function and across functions, and how they interact in order to achieve the objective of the processes.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior leaders, regional and product managers, and partner areas.
  • Strong track record of effectively assessing and managing competing priorities to deliver high quality and timely work.
  • Comfortable navigating complex, highly matrixed organisations.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and be an advanced user of MS PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Project.
  • Planning and scheduling skills sufficient to be effective in prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Horizon scanning skills and the ability to adapt to new regulation in the pipeline and drive change in processes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
