The Director, Global Commercial Systems Training & Onboarding is responsible for improving commercial productivity through effective onboarding, CRM adoption, sales-tool proficiency, and role-based capability development.
This role partners with global and regional commercial leaders to diagnose performance and adoption gaps, translate business priorities into practical enablement solutions, and help commercial employees apply systems, tools, processes, and data effectively in their daily work.

The Director owns the global commercial onboarding framework and leads training for CRM, forecasting, pipeline management, analytics, digital selling tools, and other commercial technologies. The role also develops scalable digital content and learning pathways within Seismic Learning.

Global Onboarding

  • Own the global onboarding framework for customer-facing commercial employees and designated commercial-support roles.
  • Develop role-based learning journeys, proficiency milestones, certifications, manager reinforcement tools, and field-readiness expectations.
  • Partner with Human Resources, hiring managers, regional leaders, and subject-matter experts to deliver a consistent global onboarding experience.
  • Improve new-hire readiness and reduce time to productivity through structured learning, practice, assessment, and reinforcement.

CRM and Commercial-Tools Enablement

  • Lead global training for CRM, sales tools, dashboards, analytics platforms, account-planning tools, opportunity-management tools, and digital-selling solutions.
  • Translate system functionality into practical commercial workflows and role-specific use cases.
  • Reinforce expectations for opportunity management, pipeline discipline, forecasting, customer data, activity management, and CRM data quality.
  • Support new system launches, enhancements, process changes, and commercial transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Sales Excellence, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, and system owners to improve adoption and user experience.

Performance Diagnosis and Business Partnership

  • Partner with commercial leaders to identify performance gaps related to CRM adoption, forecasting, pipeline quality, process execution, tool utilization, and new-hire readiness.
  • Analyze CRM data, system usage, learning data, field feedback, and commercial performance trends.
  • Differentiate between knowledge, skill, process, system, and behavior gaps before recommending an enablement response.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor who recommends practical solutions rather than responding only to training requests.

Learning Design and Content Development

  • Design practical, scenario-based learning experiences grounded in real commercial workflows.
  • Create instructor-led and LMS-based courses, videos, simulations, assessments, job aids, facilitator guides, and reinforcement materials.
  • Use adult-learning, instructional-design, and blended-learning principles to improve retention and field application.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate content development, simulations, assessments, and scalable learning assets.
  • Partner with the Training Operations & Learning Systems Manager to publish, assign, translate, maintain, and measure LMS content.

Facilitation and Adoption

  • Deliver engaging virtual, in-person, and field-based training for new hires, experienced employees, managers, and global audiences.
  • Conduct workshops, system demonstrations, certifications, practice sessions, and train-the-trainer programs.
  • Equip managers with tools and guidance to reinforce onboarding, CRM expectations, and commercial-tool adoption.
  • Build reinforcement and change-management strategies that sustain behavior after formal training.
  • Reinforce learning through field travel, field coaching, deal coaching, pipeline discussions, and post-training application activities.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in commercial training, sales enablement, sales operations, commercial excellence, field sales, or a related discipline.
  • Experience designing and delivering onboarding, CRM, sales-tool, or commercial-process training.
  • Strong understanding of CRM, pipeline management, forecasting, account management, analytics, and commercial workflows.
  • Demonstrated instructional-design, facilitation, content-development, and stakeholder-management capability.
  • Experience working across functions, regions, and leadership levels in a complex global organization.
  • Ability to connect learning initiatives to commercial productivity, adoption, readiness, and business performance.
  • Travel- 20%

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, medical technology, life sciences, or another regulated technical environment.
  • Experience with Seismic Learning or similar LMS and enablement platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale CRM, technology, or commercial-transformation initiatives.
  • Experience developing global and multilingual learning programs.

The base pay range for this position is:

$128,490 - $176,671

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
