Building Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC License

Location: Berlin, CT

Position Summary

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic -HVAC License to perform Duties include making scheduled tests and inspections; Determining necessary work on building equipment and fixtures including but not limited to the HVAC system, plumbing, refrigeration equipment, electrical, lighting systems, compressed air systems, water cooled chillers, and DDC building automation systems. Individuals must be able to perform skilled work in connection with the installation, removal, operations and maintenance of the buildings, building equipment and other related physical plants are required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid, clean motor vehicle operator’s license
  • Mechanical aptitude/understanding of and ability to apply electrical theory
  • Valid and current Connecticut S-1 and -S-2 licenses are required
  • Must have five years related experience in Mechanical / HVAC system maintenance in a
    Commercial / Industrial environment required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Mechanical /HVAC system installation is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • This position is part of a four-year job progression: Starting pay at Step 1 $53.52 and progressing in accordance with the union contract.
