Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Global Search & U.S. Digital Advertising leads UPS’s revenue-generating global paid search strategy and U.S. performance digital media programs. This role is responsible for driving measurable business growth through worldclass search engine marketing (SEM) strategies, performance driven digital advertising, paid social media, and local search program execution. The ideal candidate blends strategic vision with hands on expertise, ensuring UPS remains a competitive leader in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.  This role will unlock growth for customers that are sales-aligned and customers that are digital in nature – i.e. transact with UPS online. 

This leader partners closely with agency partners and UPS global marketing, product, analytics, and regional teams to deliver integrated, data-driven campaigns that strengthen brand visibility, accelerate customer acquisition, drive transactions, and maximize return on investment (ROI) across UPS’s digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Global Search Leadership

  • Develops and owns UPS’s global search strategy across paid channels, ensuring alignment with enterprise marketing and commercial revenue-driving and content-focused lead-generation priorities
  • Manages agency partners, media budgets, and performance KPIs to deliver efficient, high-impact campaigns
  • Leads global/regional SEM initiatives, including technical optimization, content strategy, and international paid search best practices
  • Oversees global SEM frameworks, governance, and performance standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across all strategic initiatives
  • Partners with agency and international teams to localize search strategies, share insights, and scale best-in-class practices
     

U.S. Digital Advertising Management

  • Leads all U.S. paid digital advertising programs, including programmatic, search display, video, and emerging digital channels
  • Manages agency partners, media budgets, and performance KPIs to deliver efficient, high-impact campaigns
  • Collaborates with U.S. marketing teams to align digital media with business goals
  • Drives continuous optimization through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and advanced targeting strategies
     

Data, Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Partners with internal/external analytics teams to build robust measurement frameworks, attribution models, and performance dashboards
  • Translates complex data into actionable insights that inform strategy, creative development, and investment decisions
  • Ensures all programs meet or exceed ROI, conversion, and revenue targets
     

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Works closely with global brand, content, product, and digital experience teams to ensure cohesive customer journeys
  • Aligns with IT and digital product teams on search-related platform enhancements and technical search engine optimization (SEO) requirements
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and internal evangelist for search and digital advertising excellence
     

Leadership & Team Development

  • Leads and mentors a high-performing team of search and digital media experts
  • Fosters a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement
  • Manages agency relationships, ensuring accountability, transparency, and strategic alignment
     

Qualifications

Required

  • Must be located in the same geographical area as the job or be willing to self-relocate
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or be a current UPS employee with a minimum of three years of UPS experience
  • Must be willing and available to travel as necessary (minimal travel expected)
  • Possesses 8–12+ years of experience in digital marketing, with deep expertise in SEM, SEO, and performance media
  • Demonstrated success managing largescale search and digital advertising programs for global or enterprise level brands.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Google Ads, SA360, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, SEMrush, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multimillion dollar budgets
  • Possesses excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive level presentation skills
  • Brings prior experience working in or with complex, matrixed organizations
  • Possesses prior agency experience (either working at or directly managing

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field; MBA highly desired
  • Experience in B2B marketing (inclusive of lead gen) and B2C marketing (with a focus on driving conversions/transactions) is strongly preferred
  •  International/global experience preferred
