The Role and What You’ll Do:

The Account Manager Travel Consultant for the Wake Forest Athletics Department will oversee the complex management and execution of collegiate team and administrative travel. The position is based on-site at the university band is a representative of Anthony Travel, a division of On Location.

  • Arrange all aspects of individual athletic travel, including GDS air, hotel, and car.
  • Provide emergency and after-hours support to the athletics department.
  • Assist in booking and managing small charter planes and helicopters for both administrative and recruiting travel.
  • Administrative duties such as invoicing team buses and hotel payments.
  • Arrange all aspects of athletic team travel, including group air, hotel contracts, and charter buses
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with the clients while representing the partnership.

You Have These:

  • Minimum of 2+ years in the sports, travel and/or hospitality industry 
  • Knowledge of Sabre or similar GDS.
  • Knowledge and experience of collegiate athletics and/or athletics travel.
  • Experience with booking and/or executing group travel (Air-Hotel-Bus).
  • Knowledge of general office PC-based programs, including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work at a highly efficient level.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to produce accurate work under strict deadlines.
  • Teamwork, reliability, and trust are key to this position. Following a dedicated work schedule as well as prompt responsiveness to clients, vendors, and teammates alike is a requirement.
