Your Opportunity

This position is responsible for the clerical and administrative function of the plant purchasing, which includes the maintenance area. This position processes requisitions, opens, distributes and issues purchase orders, maintains a database to track all orders and contacts vendors with orders.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Inventory Packaging on a daily basis.

  • Calculate Packaging material and properly delegate to Production daily.

  • Responsible for all data entry for the Receiving department.

  • Responsible for purchasing all material for the Packaging department.

  • Responsible for being the primary backup when the Production Coordinator is out of office.

  • Responsibly for communicating the needs for production the next day.

  • Verifies the quality of all materials received and confirms it is correct.

  • Required to cover breaks for Packaging Inventory Clerk.

  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.

  • Other duties as directed by Supervisor.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required.

  • Experience in purchasing/parts room inventory/vendor relations, preferred.

  • APICS Certification is preferred.

  • Excellent written communications skills.

  • Knowledge of UNIX application (SAP), the Internet and Microsoft Office software, e.g. Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Bi-lingual preferred.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
