Key Accountabilities:

Reviews and validates Alpha amendment requests, communicate inquiries and additional information to RGO. They are responsible for the following:

  • Completes the changes for all newly set-up groups on all applicable systems.  This also includes sending out booklets and member cards for the plan.  PIA also revises plan structures based on amendment requests.
  • Completes administrative system set up for all GB Sponsor-related activities
  • Supports billing and claims payment functions
  • Revises plan structure via amendments
  • Coordinates data traffic of policy information within the external vendors, Regional Group Offices representatives, Analysts and underwriters.
  • Collaborates with other Manulife teams to complete set-up request.
  • Makes sure premium have been coordinated with the billing and that payment reflects on the system
  • Initiates billing, publications and ID printing and coordinates mailing instructions to courier
  • Performs peer quality assurance to ensure set-up accuracy.
  • Provides support to either onshore counterparts or offshore new issue if capacity permits.

Minimum Skills Requirement to Hire:

Minimum Experience:

Technical Skills

  • Ability to use the desktop computer system
  • Keyboarding skills of 35 WPM with 85% accuracy
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Soft Skills

  • Ability to compose a grammatically correct, concise, and accurate paragraph
  • Ability to proactively respond to situations (escalations or rush requests)

Minimum Skills Requirement to Go-Live:

  • Successful completion of the new hire product training program
  • Passed the Skills Verification Exam of at least 85% score.
    • Full understanding of the Group Benefits Plan Design terminologies
    • Able to navigate the systems, manual, job aids, and trackers
    • Able to follow and complete the new issue process.
