JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Provides development, organization, and management of an array of services in assigned service areas and the direct supervision of program staff.  Oversees the development of the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Illinois.  Supervises key CCBHC positions to enhance and advance CCBHC requirements in IL.  Ensures clinics are providing care as necessary to meet CCBHC core service obligations and in compliance with standards, regulations and laws, maintenance of appropriate documentation, etc. Works with VP of Clinical Services on financial budgets as well as completion of required state reporting. Works collaboratively with key leadership, including Quality Improvement, to ensure services are provided with the highest quality to produce positive outcomes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides supervision and consultation to assure quality services and in compliance with various regulatory bodies.
  • In conjunction with agency leadership, ensures collaboration across all programs and multiple levels of management to ensure clients receive proper referrals, both within Centerstone and with external partners. Works to ensure implementation of evidenced-based practices to ensure CCBHC fidelity.
  • Works with VP of Clinical Services to manage expenses and maintain budget for assigned services and locations. 
  • Maintains appropriate communication with other employees and works as an effective, positive member of the organization.
  • Meets and maintains applicable certification and licensure requirements.
  • Represents Centerstone to internal and external stakeholders, funders, and community partners; creates relationships to successfully develop CCBHC clinics; provides community education and consultation as needed.
  • Required to work with independent discretion and resourcefulness and seeks out additional duties as applicable.
  • Oversees the CCBHC clinic for the state of Illinois and ensures Centerstone meets all deliverables in the timeframes identified within the state contract.
  • Based on clinical reviews and grant guidelines, determines training and supervision needed for staff on an individual or program level.
  • Provides consultation and participates in process reviews or in set up of new program processes to ensure compliance with appropriate rules and to ensure quality clinical documentation.
  • Demonstrates an ability to manage crisis situations, including danger to self and others, to ensure the safety and stabilization of clients and to make appropriate referrals/linkages when clinically indicated.  Does not leave crisis situation until client is in a safe environment or crisis is resolved.

Supervision Responsibilities

  • Creates and ensures staffing patterns are consistent with the needs of CCBHC clinics, including the potential for future development of Crisis Stabilization Units and urgent care collaboration. 
  • Participates in recruitment and hiring, and maintains primary responsibility for training, supervision, disciplinary action, performance appraisal, and staff development of assigned staff and interns.
  • Creates a service culture that includes staff onboarding, training, clinical staffing, and supervision, to ensure highest quality care and manage organizational risk.
  • Participates in and leads various staff meetings, committees, clinical staffings, and other internal meetings as assigned, including quality assurance functions.
  • Provides minimum of monthly supervision to direct reports and documents performance and development feedback on staff development note. Offers counseling, coaching, and other various feedback to staff and provides appropriate discipline when indicated and upon consultation with VP of Clinical Services and Human Resources.
  • Reviews staff timecards, expense reports, and leave requests/balances for completeness and accuracy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Skill in customer service techniques.
  • Skill in responsible delegation, time management and prioritizing tasks.
  • Knowledge of proper licensure and accreditation requirements from various funding sources, including state grants and contracts.
  • Knowledge of clinical best practices.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Master’s Degree in a Human Services or related field

Years of Experience

  • Three years relevant program/service experience in behavioral health or social services field.  
  • Two years supervisory or other management related experience.

Required Certification/Licensure

Illinois Clinical License (LCPC/LCSW/LMFT) or the ability to obtain license within six months of hire, unless funder requires an earlier timeframe.

Pay Range:

$58,700.00--$82,300.00
