Our team, QDAT (Quants, Data, Analytics and Technology), is dedicated to powering, transforming, and growing IB&M by leveraging data, mathematics, insights, and technology to deliver exceptional results for our clients and the wider Group.
In this role
As a Quantitative Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in automating our business end-to-end using a Python-based state-of-the-art financial platform and a streamlined continuous integration/deployment pipeline. You will provide valuable insights to our customers, team, and stakeholders, and contribute to building a robust and automated business on top of our industry-leading financial tech stack.
Other responsibilities also include:
Collaborating with a nimble team of high-performing engineers to build creative solutions that deliver impactful outcomes for our customers' most complex financial operational and business problems.
Using your quantitative skillset to put data at the heart of decision-making
Enabling our business to scale through your software engineering skills
Committing to automating and managing all risks (financial/operational) to ensure business endurance
Digitalising IB&M’s end-to-end deal life cycle from origination through to credit approval, in-life monitoring, and refinancing
Take pride in your problem-solving abilities whilst collaborating with stakeholders on solutions

Demonstrated expertise in numerical skills and quantitative methods, with a sound understanding of financial markets and/or corporate & institutional lending products
Proven experience with best-practice software engineering and a high level of software engineering knowledge and ability
An innate ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, from sales to technical leadership groups
Positive ‘Can-do’ attitude with a continuous drive to learn new skills.
The courage to be bold and the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative solutions
Constantly staying up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and being flexible to adapt to new challenges
Ensuring accuracy and precision in data analysis and model development
