We are seeking a skilled and motivated Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize virtualization infrastructure across the enterprise. The role requires deep expertise in VMware technologies and a comprehensive understanding of automation, scripting, and core infrastructure components including storage, networking, and security.
This role requires a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver reliable, scalable virtual environments while driving best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain VMware-based virtualization infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Manage and optimize virtual environments for performance, availability, and scalability
• Implement and maintain automation solutions using tools such as VMware Aria Automation and/or Aria Orchestrator
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation and operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization, storage, networking, and system performance
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, storage, and security teams on integrated solutions
• Participate in capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Extensive hands-on experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, high availability, and resource management
• Solid knowledge of:
  • Storage systems (SAN/NAS, datastores, performance tuning)
  • Networking concepts (VLANs, switching, routing, load balancing)
  • Firewall and security principles
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across complex infrastructure layers

• Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives or projects

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with VMware Aria Automation and/or Aria Orchestrator
• Scripting and automation experience using:
  • PowerShell
  • JavaScript
  • YAML
• Experience with monitoring and performance tools
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization
• Experience with other Hypervisors or Virtualization platforms
