A Research Fellow position is available in the DNA and RNA Editing (DaRE) Laboratory at the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) in NTU.
We seek an innovative and self-motivated researcher to join us in our endeavor. The laboratory, led by Assoc Prof Tan Meng How.
Key Responsibilities:
Works on developing and applying cutting edge biotechnologies, including high throughput next generation (NGS) sequencing and CRISPR-Cas, to read, write, and decipher genomes and transcriptomes in living cells.
Involved in efforts to develop and/or apply new tools and methodologies to push the boundaries of genomics and RNA biology and to gain deep insights into RNA editing and the ADAR family of enzymes.
Job Requirements:
PhD degree from a reputable university in science or engineering
Strong research experience in biological sciences, bioengineering, biotechnology, or a related discipline (such as genomics, genetics, computational biology, cell biology, molecular biology, synthetic biology etc.)
An outstanding publication track record, preferably with a first-author paper in a high-impact journal
Demonstrated an ability to work well in a team
Good working knowledge of the latest genomic technologies
