Summary: As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications using the Flask framework. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in backend development, unit testing, API documentation with Swagger, version control using Git, and proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases. You will also engage in strategic planning sessions to align project goals with organizational objectives, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the development process. Your role will require a balance of technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the project forward successfully. Roles & Responsibilities: - Backend Development: Lead the design and implementation of server-side logic using Python and Flask to create efficient and scalable web applications. - API Development & Documentation: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth integration with front-end components and third-party services. Document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications. - Database Management: Design and manage relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization. - Unit Testing: Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices by writing and maintaining unit tests using frameworks like PyTest or unittest to ensure code quality and reliability. - Version Control: Utilize Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests, following best practices for collaborative development. - Security Implementation: Apply best practices to secure applications, including data protection and user authentication mechanisms. - Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. - Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. - Deployment & CI/CD: Manage application deployments and work within a DevOps environment to implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Agile Practices: Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Python (Programming Language), with a strong focus on Flask. - Proficiency in Flask; experience with Django is a plus. - Solid understanding of SQL and experience with database management systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - Strong experience with unit testing frameworks like PyTest or unittest; familiarity with TDD practices. - Experience in documenting APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI specifications. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker) is desirable. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Python (Programming Language). - This position is based in Pune. - A 15 years full time education is required.
