The Opportunity

"As Director of Platform Product Management, API & Connectivity you will lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Software Platform’s API ecosystem and integrations infrastructure, enabling seamless integrations for internal teams and external partners. You will ensure APIs are developer-friendly, secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals, partnering with engineering, security, and product teams to drive adoption and platform extensibility. You will own the end-to-end API product lifecycle, including design, documentation, governance, versioning, and monetization strategies. This role focuses on delivering exceptional developer experience, high-performance connectivity, and robust security/compliance while supporting business growth through ecosystem partnerships and integrations. Success is measured by API adoption, uptime, developer satisfaction, and revenue from partner integrations." - Platform Management - Vice President

What You’ll Contribute

  • Define and own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for API platforms, gateways, and connectivity services, aligned with company strategy and market trends.

  • Design API specifications, authentication, rate limiting, and lifecycle management (versioning, deprecation) to balance developer velocity and security.

  • Drive developer experience excellence: create portals, SDKs, interactive docs, sandboxes, and self-service onboarding to accelerate partner and internal adoption.

  • Define platform integration patterns and ecosystem/marketplace integrations that enable seamless connectivity across internal and external systems.

  • Partner with engineering to build scalable, observable API infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with security, compliance, sales, and partnerships to govern API access, ensure regulatory adherence, and enable go-to-market for API-powered products.

  • Establish KPIs such as API uptime, usage growth, developer NPS, error rates, and integration revenue; use data to iterate and report to executives.

  • Conduct developer research, run hackathons, and build feedback loops to identify pain points and opportunities for new connectivity capabilities.

  • Influence platform architecture for extensibility; evaluate build vs. buy for API management tools.

What We’re Seeking

  • 10-15 years in product management, with 5+ years owning API platforms, developer platforms, or integrations in SaaS, fintech, or enterprise software.

  • Deep understanding of API design and systems.

  • Proven track record launching and scaling APIs: high adoption, low latency, and secure ecosystems in production environments.

  • Experience with API lifecycle management, versioning strategies, and backward compatibility.

  • Technical fluency in API standards, protocols, auth/security, and observability tools.

  • Strong analytical skills to model adoption metrics, performance tradeoffs, and business impact from integrations.

  • Executive influence: partners with leaders across engineering, architecture, and GTM leaders to drive platform investments and adoption.

  • Experience with API monetization, partner ecosystems, or marketplace strategies.

  • Background in event-driven architectures, webhooks, or real-time connectivity.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML integrations via APIs or developer tools for LLMs/agents.

  • Bachelor's /Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
