As a Sales Representative, Companion Animal Business Unit, you will be responsible for achieving sales objectives within an assigned geography by promoting Elanco’s companion animal portfolio. This field-based role plays a critical part in product launches, distributor leadership, and strengthening relationships within the veterinary community.
Achieve sales targets for Elanco companion animal products within an assigned territory
Provide leadership and direction to distributor representatives within the territory
Develop, execute, and manage a territory business plan aligned to key growth objectives
Drive product placement and execution with targeted veterinary accounts
Partner with veterinary associations and support state VMA meetings and product launch activities
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceuticals or equivalent competitive sales experience, including prior Elanco internship experience
Core Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, plan, and execute effectively
Ability to influence without direct authority
Strong presentation skills with the ability to motivate diverse audiences
Strategic thinking and decision-making in ambiguous environments
In-depth knowledge of the companion animal veterinary market and products
Advanced degree in business or a related field
Travel: 10–25%
