Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Mainframe Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our Cards Application Development Management team. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Cardlink applications in a Mainframe ZOS environment. The role involves end-to-end software development, including coding, testing, deployment, and production support, while adhering to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management standards followed in the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, and JCL.

• Work on Cardlink modules to deliver application enhancements and new functionalities.

• Handle VSAM and sequential datasets for both batch and online transaction processing.

• Participate in all stages of the SDLC - requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.

• Collaborate with QA, operations, and functional teams to ensure delivery of high-quality and stable applications.

• Provide production support and troubleshoot application or batch issues, ensuring minimal business impact.

• Follow organizational change management processes for all application modifications and deployments.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and release notes.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support compliance and audit requirements.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development and support.

Mandatory Skills:

• Languages/Tools: COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve, JCL

• Data Management: VSAM and Sequential Datasets, NoSQL Database

• Operating System: Mainframe ZOS

• Domain Expertise: Cardlink Development and Delivery

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of card processing systems, financial transaction flows, and settlement processes.

• Familiarity with debugging tools, job scheduling, and performance tuning.

• Experience working in a banking or financial services environment.

Other Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience developing applications using COBOL/CICS.

• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and change management practices.

• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional and distributed teams.
