As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of various digital banking products at Q2.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and Maintain Performance Testing Frameworks: Develop and optimize advanced performance testing frameworks capable of handling soak, stress, and load testing. Ensure these frameworks are scalable, flexible, and integrated into the existing automation frameworks.
  • Lead Performance Testing Initiatives: Design, implement, and execute performance tests, including load, stress, and soak tests, across various applications. 
  • Manage Cloud-Based Test Environments: Oversee cloud-based test environments to ensure seamless, scalable performance and load test execution. Ensure integration with CI/CD pipelines and continuous performance monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 5+ years of professional experience in performance testing.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Performance Testing Expertise: Strong experience in performance testing techniques such as soak, stress, and load testing. Proficiency with performance testing tools such as K6, JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, Locust, or similar frameworks.
  • Automation Frameworks: Proven experience in developing or maintaining performance test frameworks and integrating them into automation frameworks. Hands-on experience in creating scalable and flexible automation architectures.
  • API Performance Testing: Expertise in testing and automating the performance of web services (SOAP and RESTful APIs). Ability to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.

Nice to have Skills:

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience managing and maintaining cloud-based test environments, particularly in relation to performance and load testing. Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad is a strong plus.
  • CI/CD Integration: Proficiency in integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
  • Advanced Debugging Skills: Ability to diagnose performance issues through code reviews, log analysis, and system monitoring.
  • Database Performance Testing: Experience with database performance testing using systems like Postgres, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
