Responsible for scheduling all facets of surgeries for assigned Ambulatory Practice sites, obtaining all necessary patient demographics, insurance, and financial information for all scheduled patients prior to date of service, and working with insurance companies to ensure high quality/cost efficient medical outcomes for patients needing precertification or preauthorization. Also responsible for estimating and collecting financial obligations and routes patients for financial assistance, accordingly. An expectation of this individual is ensuring all financial requirements are met.

Position Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and 2 years or more in medical scheduling, insurance benefit verification and/or precertification. Databases, spreadsheets, operating systems. High face-to-face volume customer service. Microsoft Word, Excel. Correctly spell diagnoses, procedures, patient names. Interpersonal skills. Work with multiple specialties.
