Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role 

As an HR Specialist for Compass Health, you will be responsible for working with staff to resolve their HR questions and challenges, and supporting our growing HR team to deliver value-added service to our leaders and staff. You will work closely with our HR Business Partners to support them in the areas of employee relations, performance management, accommodations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, among others. Our ideal HR Specialist will be an expert relationship builder who can manage a large breadth of work across different domains.  

What You'll Do: 

  • Partner with staff to resolve their HR questions and challenges in a timely manner
  • Manage the HR inbox, which is where most HR questions are routed, and work to find efficiencies in how cases that need additional support are elevated, how information is organized and archived, etc.
  • Support HR Partners as necessary in areas such as performance management, compensation, engagement, employee changes/terminations, and accommodations.
  • Supports resolving complex employee relations issues. Assists with conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Comfortable working within an HRIS system, preferably ADP, and assisting the broader HR team with the implementation of changes that improve team efficiency.
  • Assist with drafting employee facing documents, including role change letters, investigation outcomes, etc.
  • Assist with the drafting and updating of HR policies.
  • Closely collaborate with other Human Resources and Talent team members.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of comprehension of Compass’ daily operations, strategic position, financial and operating objectives.

Who You Are: 

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an HR coordinator or generalist role that involved direct support of staff
  • Proficient in basic HR concepts, tools, and policies including progressive discipline, employee relations investigations, and accommodations
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with staff
  • Ability to maintain calm under pressure and flex with the needs of the business/team
  • Positive attitude and passion for working in the mental health space
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a breadth of work, from staff level HR questions to more strategic project support
