Position Summary
The Zhao Laboratory is seeking outstanding candidates interested in developing and applying statistical model and machine/deep learning methodology in clinical study and medical research to improve women’s health. The goal of the lab is to develop AI powered methods in medical research of OBGYN field to provide improved diagnosis and risk prediction.
The successful applicant will utilize statistical models and machine/deep learning methods to process and analyze biomedical imaging data, including, but not limited to, pathology assay images, ultrasound images, and wearable device data of actigraphy measures. Applicants with a strong background in these areas and of various levels of experience are encouraged to apply.

Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists the investigator with research studies, experiments and assays, including data management, preprocessing of data and quality check.
- Enters data and maintains current data files on research projects. Monitors data to ensure consistent quality.
- May perform preliminary statistical analysis of data.
- May perform preliminary machine learning / deep learning method in data analysis.
- Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
- Coordinates research project with other institutions and investigators.
- Participates in developing hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing it.
- Assists with general supply/equipment orders, lab maintenance and cleaning.
- Performs literature research on specified topics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
