We have a vacancy for a Senior Trade Compliance Manager in our Global Clinical Supplies Team. The role can be based in a number of our Latin America locations and can be fully home based.

A day in the life:

  • Develop Trade Compliance Import/Export strategy for each assigned study.
  • Ensure proficient communication and interaction with internal and external collaborators to coordinate efforts, provide recommendations, and issue alerts to avoid obstacles during the import/export processes.
  • Ensure assigned studies are always in compliance with Trade Compliance, local regulations, company requirements and client needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Trade Compliance and Import/Export matters for assigned studies.
  • Participate in bidding and/or bid defense opportunities regarding the addition of Trade Compliance and Import/Export services.
  • Stay up to date with new processes and regulations concerning Trade Compliance and Import/Export.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Provides coaching, mentorship and guidance to more junior team members
  • Lead training in Trade Compliance and Import/Export subjects to internal collaborators.

Keys to success:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+years).
  • Prior experience in clinical research, specifically in clinical supplies import/export, is required.

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of import/export operations, local and global regulations and clinical trial supply operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Sharp focus on customers and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as team, as well as work independently with minimum mentorship
  • Ability to lead and mentor team members
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking)
