Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$40,100.00 - $66,100.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Agency Operations provides a straightforward path to enable Agents to do business with Travelers. As the face of Travelers to our Agents, we provide streamlined administrative services for our Agency channel to ensure a positive customer experience. As an Agency Operations Representative Trainee, you set the tone for how our customer service is experienced. You are responsible for building and maintaining effective relationships with peers, business partners, and agents while on-boarding new agents, servicing agency records, and ensuring Travelers and our agents are compliant with state rules and regulatory guidelines. In this trainee role, you are expected to meet expectations of our formal training through assessments, knowledge checks, and applying the content to real-life situations. What Will You Do?

  • Develop a deep understanding of the agency lifecycle including on-boarding new agents and producers, maintaining agency records, and appointing/terminating agents and producers.
  • Respond to agents and agencies and/or other business partners on requests for new entries or changes to existing records.
  • Resolve questions and make appropriate decisions on variety of topics with guidance from others on more complex activities.
  • Ensure current and complete documentation of notes.
  • Provide customer service at a level consistent with quality and productivity goals.
  • Assist agents/agencies and/or other business partners with licensing and appointment requirements.
  • May also work closely with other business partners to handle key requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Associates Degree or higher.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to act upon information related to activities and escalate as needed.
  • Strong computer skills and system navigation experience.
  • Interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with the ability to use sound judgement.
  • Ability to effectively manage large volumes of service requests.

What is a Must Have?

  • One year of work experience in a customer service, operations, or insurance industry.
  • This position requires a satisfactory completion of a formal training program.
