What you'll do:
As a Credit Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the core credit management activities within the Seoul branch’s front office. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with both risk teams and coverage colleagues as you help monitor evolving risks across APAC business sectors. You will contribute to emerging risk analysis, assist in managing credit costs, and ensure that all credit submissions meet rigorous quality standards. By participating in local or regional projects designed to improve frameworks and service delivery, you will help drive positive change throughout the organisation. Your ability to identify issues early on, escalate them appropriately, and provide dependable support across multiple tasks will be essential for success in this role. The position offers significant exposure to global credit management practices while allowing you to develop your expertise in corporate finance within a supportive team environment.
Collaborate closely with risk teams and front office colleagues to monitor current and emerging risks within the first line of defence.
Support in-country and sector watch processes by contributing to emerging risk analysis for APAC target business sectors under senior guidance.
Assist in managing credit costs and risk-weighted assets by providing accurate data analysis and supporting documentation.
Contribute to high-quality credit analysis and post-origination monitoring by consistently assessing borrowers’ financial performance, outlook, and credit profiles.
Identify potential risks and opportunities requiring escalation to key stakeholders, helping drive better risk-return outcomes for the organisation.
Maintain quality assurance of credit submissions by ensuring all documentation meets high standards of accuracy and completeness.
Lead or support local/regional projects aimed at establishing or improving frameworks, templates, and service standards within the credit management function.
Drive change initiatives focused on standardisation, efficiency gains, and policy adjustments to enhance operational effectiveness.
Monitor concerns as they arise by seeking advice or action from relevant internal teams such as Coverage or Corporate Deposit units.
Provide ongoing support to various stakeholders by prioritising deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively.
What you bring:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related major is required for this position.
At least three years’ experience working as a credit analyst within banking or financial institutions is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean are necessary for effective stakeholder engagement.
Basic understanding of corporate finance credit analysis with a strong willingness to further develop expertise is expected.
Solid mathematical foundation with proven ability to handle financial data accurately is important for daily tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required; familiarity with financial modelling or account management is preferred.
Demonstrated strength in drafting simple credit write-ups, conducting basic financial analysis including ratio interpretation, and supporting transaction processes is valued.
General awareness of financial markets and economic trends will help inform your decision-making process.
Clear communication skills are vital for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders alike.
Eagerness to learn new concepts in credit management combined with strong attention to detail ensures high-quality output.
Good interpersonal skills enable you to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
