Will be responsible for leading the team for developing services, tools, and processes to support other Motorola Solutions' engineering teams as well as deliver solutions to our customers. Will be working on a high-velocity, results-oriented team that leverages cutting-edge technologies and techniques. The right individual will be motivated and will have a passion for automation, deployment processes, and enabling innovation. Your efforts will help to shape the engineering culture and best practices across Motorola Solutions’ Software Enterprise organization.
Basic Requirements:
BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent degree) with 7+ years of professional software development
Experience as a team lead or manager leading development work by example
Responsibilities:
Lead the team to define the scope, design, and development of custom software solutions.
Thorough understanding of core Java, Spring framework, and Spring boot and UI frameworks like Angular 7+.
Good understanding and working experience with RESTful web services
Knowledge of distributed systems and how they are different from traditional monolith applications You get additional brownie points if you have
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token and OAuth2
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, etc.
On-call work are occasionally required for services developed by the team
