Position Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of new products/product enhancements that are customer centric and competitive to give Manulife the winning edge to grow the business with focus on protection, health, digital and other product initiatives
Preparation of product materials and ensure accuracy and compliance to applicable guidelines
To conduct Product Risk Assessment and compliance checklist for new product launches and ensure that key product risks are recorded with actions for mitigation
Prepare product test plans and execute UAT in accordance to the approved test plan for new/enhance products and obtain signoff for the relevant documents and materials as per timeline
Support development timeline, ensuring that internal and external partners know and adhere to timelines
To perform regular (monthly or other frequency agreed upon) competitor product scan and review process to be log under competitor product library.
Provide support distribution / other stakeholders in product related matters
Be aware of the development in the industry and provide analysis of key findings
Preparation and presentation of new product business case for Product Committee’s approval
Prepare product training slides
Individual Accountabilities:
Assist in the design and conceptualization during product development
Preparation and support product focus group with key distributors / customers
Compliance to regulatory guidelines with regards to Product Development
User Acceptance Testing is in accordance to approved product test plans
Accuracy of product materials, in particular to Product Illustration, Product Disclosure Sheet and contract provision
Working with stakeholders on new product requirements
Provide support distribution / other stakeholders in product related matters
Be aware of the development in the industry and provide analysis of key findings
Key Shared Accountabilities:
Conceptualisation and development of new products to support the business objective
Preparation and presentation of new product business case for Product Committee’s approval
Ensure product design and sales materials are compliant with internal and external guidelines/requirements
Development timeline, ensuring that internal and external partners know and adhere to timelines
Conduct market research, customer’s database study and product analysis
Prepare product training slides for internal training.
Required Qualifications:
Degree holder with 2 to 3 years’ experience in the life insurance/ Takaful product development and/or pricing area
Well verse with relevant industry guidelines and regulatory requirements
Strong communication skills
Experience in product launches
Analytical thinking
Experience in Takaful will be an added advantage
