This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, overseeing preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role involves collaborating with teams to plan daily tasks, troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues, fabricate machine parts, and lead documentation processes. It also requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with technical drawings, CNC equipment, and automation systems. Candidates should have 6-8 years of maintenance experience, with preferred expertise in machine troubleshooting, robotics, and travel for on-site support and training.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair production machinery and equipment with expertise.
  • Collaborate with planners and production teams to approve daily tasks, prepare necessary materials, and ensure required equipment is ready.
  • Manage Predictive Maintenance (PM) processes to ensure equipment safety and maximize uptime.
  • Identify spare parts needs and recommend improvements for equipment and processes.
  • Provide leadership by following instructions from supervisors and executing additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations established by the company, state, and federal agencies.
  • Oversee documentation processes within the Maintenance Operating System (MOS) in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Deliver accurate feedback and updates to planners and supervisors regarding assigned tasks.
  • Identify machine and process components using OEM service drawings, catalogs, SAP, and visual assessment.
  • Fabricate and repair machine parts within the Maintenance Campus Area or Machine Shop.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues.
  • Inspect and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
  • Utilize Controller/HMI functions to retrieve error messages for efficient troubleshooting.
  • Develop familiarity with oils, coolants, and greases used in equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment with all levels of employees.
  • Complete duties, documentation, and communication according to shift overlap procedures.
  • Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization according to housekeeping SOPs and 5S standards.
  • Operate equipment within specified guidelines in assigned areas.
  • Adhere to TS 16949 and ISO 14000 standards and requirements.
  • Support and comply with the company’s established corporate principles.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Essential Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree.
  • 6-8 years of progressive maintenance experience.
  • Proven track record in leading and supervising other technicians.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and machining components to high tolerances.
  • Proficiency in basic math and reading.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Extensive technical expertise in planning project schedules and meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Skilled in operating CNC equipment for alignment procedures.
  • Proficient in using and reading measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
  • Expert in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Experience with robotics, automation systems, and adjusting program parameters.

Preferred Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive maintenance experience.
  • Expertise in the basic construction and operation of related equipment.
  • Advanced skills in troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating machine drive and feedback systems.
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Experience interacting with customers or suppliers and providing on-site technician training
