Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Web platform and full stack experience to join this team. This hands-on role requires expert coding skills, strong architecture and design, deep focus and experience on operational excellence. You will play a critical role designing, and developing business and technology initiatives that solve mission critical business problems for Walmart. In this role, you will lead the design, development and maintenance of software systems that provide real-time data and analytics. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers, data scientists and UI/UX engineers to create robust, scalable and user-friendly telemetry products. Your expertise will be crucial in integrating hardware, developing data processing algorithms and ensuring the overall performance and security of software solutions. What you'll do:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer – Web/OL Engineer for US stores and eCommerce team at Walmart, you’ll have the opportunity to:
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for monitoring and managing conference room telemetry.
  • Perform rigorous testing and debugging of software to endure reliability and performance. Implement automated testing frameworks where applicable.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software development designs, APIs and user guides.
  • Work closely with product managers, systems engineers and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of telemetry systems to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Ensure the software systems are secure and comply with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Play a role in shaping architectural decisions, championing scalable and efficient solutions to meet present and future needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to your teammates, other teams and engineers.
  • Take ownership, lead and contribute across the technical stack to improve speed of delivery, developer productivity and related goals.
  • Drive Availability, Quality, Performance, and Resiliency related goals with your team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, UX and designers, to grasp the requirements and deliver top-tier software product.


What you'll bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering or related field with strong Experience building customizable, reusable, accessible cross-platform and dynamic frontend components using Node JS/Express ReactJS, JavaScript, SQL/MySQL/MSSQL, REST services.
  • Experience building a responsive, cross-browser compatible and high-performance micro frontend web application. 
  • Hands on experience in Cloud platforms (Azure), GCP, git, Jenkins, Kubernetes.
  • Strong skills in messaging platforms like Kafka.
  • Strong Experience working with NoSQL Databases like cosmos DB and Graph DB.
  • Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions. 
  • Demonstrated ownership for development and design of modules/features in a product. 
  • Knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architect.
  • Help define Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end.
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML to build custom models is a plus.
  • Any experience in device telemetry and hardware integrations is a plus.
