Job purpose:

The Digital Data & Analytics (DDA) Delivey Team is responsible to identify, develop and scale high impact DDA projects/products, in alignment and collaboration with relevant GSK functions, to maximise the value of Digital Innovations for Vx R&D and CMC Pharma.

The Digital Innovation Lead will work seamlessly across GSK Vaccine R&D and CMC Pharma to support the development and scaling of new and complex Digital and Data Analytics innovations directly impacting our vaccine and pharmaceutical portfolio.

In this exciting role, the Digital Innovation Lead will act as Business Product Lead for Digital and Data Analytics projects, working into the business units, key GSK Tech partners and external collaborators to rapidly understand innovation opportunities, deliver PoC and Pilot phases and then deliver business change to scale where suitable to maximise value realisation.

The role holder should have a passion for delivering meaningful digital and data innovation that directly impacts the value realised in the Vaccine and pharmaceutical products.

Your responsibilities:

Key responsibilities will include but shall not be limited to:

  • You act as Business Product Lead to successfully drive DDA product to add value across R&D

  • You manage product development in agile development frameworks, in collaboration with all functions of R&D, Tech, and external partners, to deliver meaningful digital and data analytics innovations that can be scaled to add long term value.

  • You drive ideation and entrepreneurial thinking to support business innovation and value creation using Digital and Data Science

  • You scope ideas in order to become prioritised and drive delivery of PoC, Pilot and into scaled solutions to impact

  • You develop business cases for all phases of innovation progression

  • You create, recruit and oversee effective matrix project teams. This is to include managing outsourced services (CROs and Service Providers), internal resource management and budgets.

  • You provide reports, status updates, feedback and advice to key stakeholders on project progress, monitoring and measuring Return on Investment.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in relevant industry sector or digital innovation

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant industry sector, R&D domain or life sciences.

  • Minimum 2 years of international project management responsibilities in digital innovation area

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, change management and project delivery skills

  • Fluency in English is a must, any other language is an asset

  • Ability to evolve in a matrix environment

  • Excellent communication and project management skills are required for this role

  • Experienced in delivery of business innovation and change within a relevant Science and Technology domain

  • Experienced with digital technologies and data science techniques to extract knowledge from complex data

  • Business understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry

  • Ability to anticipate for changes that may be needed based on the external regulatory environment

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Phd in any related scientific field

  • Experienced in leading innovation and business change initiatives in both multi-disciplinary and geographically remote partners, through effective matrix management

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, change management and project delivery skills

  • Excellent networking, communication and presentations skills, ability to facilitate interfaces within extended network, proven experience in negotiating and influencing at different levels both internally and externally
