Salary: £70,900K - £109,000pa (Depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Full time (37.5 hrs per week) – Hybrid Working

A vacancy has arisen for a Group Leader of a new software development focussed group in the Southwest within the Software and Digital Architecture area. 
 
The new group will be an application software focussed team based in Bristol and Gloucester. The team will provide services associated with all aspects of the Software Design Lifecycle including collation of software requirements, specification, design, implementation and testing. The team’s primary focus will be on supporting the Data Science and Modelling teams in turning data science and predictive models into bespoke, production software applications. The team will deliver these services into a wide range of industries with the main clients being in the Energy and Defence industries. 
 
 
What We’re Looking For

  • Degree level qualified in a relevant academic area.

  • Knowledge and experience of software delivery lifecycles and methodologies

  • Knowledge and experience of a range of software languages and technologies.

  • Knowledge and experience of data science, AI and/or modelling.

  • Knowledge and experience of the risks associated with delivering software services and products.

  • Experience working in the Defence and Energy Industries and experience of developing new clients.

  • Experience in developing solutions and products for customers and delivering subsequent programmes of work to customer satisfaction, schedule and budget.

  • Visible leadership to the group and customers.

Requirements​​​​​​​

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Software

  • Understand the technical and commercial pathways to providing all aspects of Software design technologies to new and existing customers

  • Understand and provide evidence of the Frazer-Nash Core and Group Leader Competencies

  • Have a robust understanding of Frazer-Nash working practices

It is to your advantage if you meet any or all the following additional requirements:

  • Experience of managing people and teams

  • Experience of developing strategic plans for growth

  • Being chartered

  • Significant knowledge of portfolio area/Industry area

  • Significant knowledge of business development

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
