Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics and has been an industry pioneer for over a century. Through innovation and transformation, we are redefining the boundaries of possibility, continuously setting new standards for efficiency, sustainability, and excellence.

We Offer

At Maersk, we believe in the power of diversity, collaboration, and continuous learning, and we work hard to ensure that the people in our organisation reflect and understand the customers we exist to serve.

With over 100,000 employees across 130 countries, we work together to shape the future of global trade and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Operational Coordination

  • Own cross-product coordination for all cargo moving through the TPP Hub, ensuring smooth handoffs between SCM, MCL, LCL, FCL, MCS and Ocean Operations.
  • Maintain end-to-end visibility across the flow: inbound pipeline, import planning from origin to unstuffing at the TPP Hub, inventory position, export planning from stuffing through second-leg vessel departure, customs processes (ZB1, ZB2, CNM, COO) and milestone updates.
  • Translate volume forecasts from SCM and the Hub into MCL resource planning across three horizons: short term (daily capacity for the next 3 weeks), medium term (weekly forecast for the next 2 months) and long term (monthly forecast for the next 6–12 months).
  • Validate that forecast volumes together with MCL and CX that can actually be executed against real operational capacity, and escalate the gap when they cannot.

Prioritisation and Peak Management

  • During peak periods where MCL resource supply is outstripped by SCM and Hub demand, manage job prioritisation in the daily planning huddle based on the Customer Priority List and inbound/outbound criticality.
  • Actively manage inbound and outbound balance to protect warehouse capacity, intervening before inventory accumulation constrains the operation.
  • Lead troubleshooting for unhappy-flow scenarios on individual shipments, and drive the structural improvement plan with relevant stakeholders once the immediate issue is contained.

KPI Governance and Early Warning

  • Design, build and own the operational KPI framework for the hub — including inventory ageing, dwell time, throughput against committed capacity, and inbound/outbound balance.
  • Establish predefined thresholds and escalation triggers so that emerging risks are flagged early and acted upon, rather than escalated once the situation is already critical.
  • Monitor actual performance against committed operational capacity and hold the relevant teams to account where delivery falls short.
  • Engage with CPM to ensure governance on origin routing compliance.
  • Produce clear, evidence-based reporting that allows leadership to see the operational position

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Chair daily and weekly operational governance forums with cross-product stakeholders, driving decisions rather than status updates.
  • Engage individual Customer Programme Managers (CPMs) on account-specific requirements, constraints and priorities, ensuring operational reality is reflected in customer commitments.
  • Manage downstream communication to destination Maersk distribution centres, ensuring visibility of cargo status, delays and recovery actions.
  • Work closely with SCM CX and Ocean Operations on allocation planning, ensuring space availability is aligned to seasonal demand and that allocation shortfalls are anticipated, not discovered.

Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with the Continuous Improvement team to identify recurring failure patterns and design structural fixes.
  • Challenge existing business rules and ways of working where they constrain end-to-end service delivery.
  • Capture and share lessons learned across teams so that improvements hold beyond the individual incident.

We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in supply chain, ocean or logistics operations, with demonstrable experience in a control tower, hub operations or cross-functional coordination role.
  • Proven track record managing complex integrated solutions across multiple products or functions.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and CFS operations, ocean allocation and end-to-end supply chain flow.
  • Experience designing and implementing operational KPI frameworks, not only reporting against existing ones.
  • Prior experience in a peak-season or high-volume environment is strongly preferred.

Capabilities

  • Independent operator with strong critical thinking — able to interrogate assumptions, challenge numbers that do not hold up, and form a view without waiting for direction.
  • Able to connect the dots across disparate signals and anticipate downstream consequences of upstream decisions.
  • Comfortable resolving issues in a live operational environment under time pressure.
  • Confident communicator across levels and cultures, able to influence without direct authority in a matrix organisation.
  • Analytically capable — comfortable building and interpreting operational data to support decisions.
  • Collaborative and credible with operational teams, with the resilience to hold a difficult position when the situation requires it.
