To ensure that we deliver this to our amazing customers, we are embarking on a 3-year Supply Chain transformation and are looking for our next Demand Planner to be a part of driving a world-class demand function that connects our brands to their sales targets, and our customers to their products of choice!

The Role You Could Play:

The Demand Planner will own the demand planning process within S&OP and continuous improvement across specific brand categories. The Demand Planner will also drive demand consensus, prepare and facilitate the demand review with both internal and external stakeholders.

In this role you will also be responsible for:

• Ensuring data accuracy in both historical data (cleansing) and new data setup – one touch, single source of truth 
• Continuously improving processes and forecast accuracy in alignment with business initiatives to meet MECCA’s customer availability goal
• Reviewing forecast consumption weekly to identify and address abnormal or trending demand 
• Managing the system forecast performance, adjusting forecast methods and proactively collaborating on inventory policy adjustment with the supply operations team 
• Collaborating with store operations, merchandise, digital, marketing and supply chain functions in a category management structure to generate a consensus forecast 
• Collaborating with internal brand teams on forecast creation for new items and ranges, including cannibalization strategies and ranging levels
• Partner with supply planner and freight coordinator on demand assumptions to assist with a robust supply plan 

What You Will Bring:

There is no doubt that extensive demand planning, ideally within the retail or FMCG industry, and a commercial mindset are essential to perform this role.
In addition, our ideal candidate will be a master relationship-builder and be able to demonstrate the following:

• Strong experience as a change agent and driving transformation
• Highly analytical with the ability to have a holistic view
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability problem-solving skills and a game changing attitude.
• Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or a related discipline desirable
