About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Account Recovery Specialist I to join our team in Rocklin, CA. In this role, you will support the Accounts Recovery team by monitoring account balances, managing delinquent accounts, and coordinating with internal teams, agencies, and finance companies to resolve outstanding balances.

This role plays an important part in maintaining the financial health of the organization while ensuring agencies and partners receive timely, professional support. By helping resolve account issues and maintain accurate records, you contribute to efficient financial operations and strong business relationships.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor outstanding account balances and determine appropriate next steps in the collection process
  • Contact agencies and customers to resolve overdue balances and facilitate payment collection
  • Encourage timely payment of future premiums while maintaining positive professional relationships
  • Maintain accurate documentation of account status, collection activity, and payment arrangements
  • Establish payment plans for delinquent accounts when appropriate
  • Assist with processing book rolls and single broker-of-record (BOR) transfers between entities
  • Process delinquent finance accounts on behalf of finance companies
  • Review aged credits for refund issuance to agencies or escheatment to the state as required
  • Generate and review reports for aged balances related to canceled and non-canceled agencies for further review and billing
  • Review select policies to determine eligibility for direct collection with carriers

What You Will Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence handling agency and customer interactions
  • A customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support
  • Ability to review policy and account information, identify potential issues, and take appropriate action
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems, with the ability to quickly learn new tools and navigate multiple systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues with equipment such as headsets, internet connectivity, or system access

The pay range for this role is $23 – $26 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and knowledge relevant to the role and industry.
