Position Summary

If so, consider advancing your career as a Lead Director, Payer Relations Reporting & Analytics within the Retail Pharmacy Payer Relations Reporting & Analytics organization at CVS Pharmacy.

As the healthcare ecosystem evolves and patient expectations rise, CVS Pharmacy must continuously refine its strategies by leveraging vast data assets and best-in-class analytics. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing PBM/Payer analytics and dashboards, market share analysis, government affairs analytics, and other ad hoc analyses related to pharmacy economics and margin optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply deep expertise in internal large data sources (e.g., Palantir Foundry) and advanced analytical approaches (e.g., SQL, Python) to lead major strategic initiatives to support the business
  • Lead the process of validating the accuracy and completeness of major operational and strategic systems solutions and enhancements that are critical to the needs of the analytical, forecasting, payer relations, and finance teams.
  • Lead the process of identifying gaps in existing data sources and partnering with broader CVS teams to enhance data integration within the Palantir Foundry environment.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to gather requirements, validate ideas, and deepen understanding of pharmacy economics.
  • Lead reimbursement analyses, scenario modeling, and development of strategies; translate results into actionable insights that clearly address business needs.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, and/or finance, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 5+ years of experience working in large data sets (e.g., millions of records).
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills, including experience using big data and analytics to uncover root causes and inform decision-making.
  • Skilled in leading the identification of risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term goals and short-term execution.
  • Ability to meet simultaneous and often conflicting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL) and programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Demonstrated experience leading the validation of various data projects, including new systems builds and enhancements, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with pharmacy and/or healthcare industry economics
  • Ability to travel up-to-20% of the time, based on the needs of the business


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, MIS, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
