Network infrastructure is supporting all business functions in our company, including critical manufacturing & research systems. As a member of the Automation Services team, your role will be to develop, deploy and operationalize automation solutions in support of network services and the global network infrastructure.

You will work on automating the support for critical infrastructure, where maximum reliability and quality are essential. You will support a large-scale network powered by advanced network automation—and be part of the journey at the very beginning of what’s possible in this field.

You will explore cutting-edge tools, projects, initiatives, and ideas in network automation to create solutions that operate on a global scale—real-world systems that cannot be fully replicated in virtual environments.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and improve company’s processes related to network management and seek opportunities to build automated solutions

• Develop automation solutions for network management

• Develop automation solutions for self-service of network services

• Develop, maintain & support automation solutions built in AWS and in Ansible

• Develop efficient ways to deploy & run automation solutions

• Participate in network automation community of practice

• Become a point of contact for selected network tools

• Drive improvements in the processes around selected network tools

• Manage data quality for selected tools

• Design and maintain the configuration of selected tools based on business demand

• Cooperate closely with network designers and network operations

• Apply good development and documentation practices

Experience in the following areas is a must

• Solid understanding of AWS offerings and how they can be used in solution design

• The minimum level is AWS Certified Developer – Associate, although formal certification is not a must

• Real-world experience in developing enterprise-grade automation solutions: design, API, databases, logging, SW versioning, release management, testing, CI/CD

• Experience with Ansible playbooks is welcome

• At least an intermediate experience in Python

• Solid understanding of IP-based communication networks (at least on the level of CCNA)

• Basic web front-end skills are welcome but not critical

Other required qualification and skills

• Skilled in designing solutions that address complex integration challenges while considering scalability, security, performance, and maintainability

• Understanding of network management and network operations

• Strong willingness to keep learning new technologies

• Able to establish good working relationships globally and collaborate with networks of employees at all levels

• Preferred certifications: CCNA and higher, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer Associate

• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and business audiences

Advanced knowledge and proven real-world experience

• SW development

• Programming

• SW versioning using Git

• Database design and usage, SQL

• AWS: IAM, API GW, Lambda, Storage

Intermediate knowledge

• Network design

• Configuring network devices (for example Cisco)

• Ansible

• Python

• Data management, data science or data engineering

• Non-sql databases
