Summary: As a Security Specialist, you will define the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring it meets the business requirements and performance goals. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to document the implementation of cloud security controls and facilitate the transition to cloud security-managed operations, ensuring that all security measures align with organizational objectives and compliance standards. You will engage in discussions to refine security strategies and provide guidance on best practices, contributing to a secure and efficient cloud environment. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for Management of SECURITY Incident queue, problem records and CMDB - Follow established change management process to complete all technical changes in the environment. - Responsible for maintaining SECURITY platform health checks and stability - Plan and implement continual service improvements across SECURITY platforms. - Assist with KPIs and Compliance reporting across the SECURITY estate - Maintain vendor technical support relationships - Maintain technical working documents and procedures - Maintain technical knowledge and certifications - Assist SECURITY team leader with security Incident Response & Management - Assist with security Investigations - Responsible for being a SME in SECURITY services - Part of an On-Call rota when skills have reached SME level - System management and maintenance - System patching and upgrades - License management - Category checks and classifications - Policy maintenance - Report writing - Ensure all appropriate support calls are raised and monitored with vendor support for issues being experienced in the firm Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Network Security Operations. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Firewall Architecture. - Strong understanding of cloud security principles and frameworks. - Experience in risk assessment and vulnerability management. - Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR. - FW and connectivity troubleshooting - Troubleshoot logs for connectivity issues around rule sets and ports - Creation of security policies - IPSEC VPN troubleshooting - General firewall and network topology troubleshooting - A team player with an ability to work collaboratively and positively motivate self and others - Professional presentation skills, both written and verbal - Able to gain credibility with senior staff and the trust of all staff - Diplomatic and persuasive with an ability to handle difficult conversations and confidently manage stakeholders - A logical and critical thinker with problem solving skills - Ability to work in virtual teams, often remote from other team members - Technical background with 3+ years’ experience in a wide range of Server Hardware Platforms/OS’s and server-side applications - Project Management process knowledge - Committed to team success rather than individual success. Must appreciate importance of standards and need for long term planning - Hands on approach with ability to multitask - Can adapt to changing priorities and maintains a positive attitude - Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts - Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT Security concepts, including antivirus, networking, and encryption technologies - Experience with security products, such as Firewalls, IPsec, IDS/IPS, Anti-Virus, Web Security proxies, VPNs - Willingness to learn additional technologies, not focused on a single application Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Network Security Operations. - This position is based at our Kolkata office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
