GCC Vadodara campus seeks to hire a Plastic product design engineer for multiple new product development and application engineering projects. In this position, the suitable candidate will execute the projects for global engineering center that may include new product development, application & product engineering, design for assembly/manufacturing and mold-flow simulation using various plastics. Candidate should have rich plastic product engineering experience and able to mentor & inspire the teammates. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skill. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and integration of instrumentation products comprised of plastic, metal, and hyper-elastic materials for electro-mechanical devices.
  • Create and maintain DFM, DFMEA, BOM, drawings with GD&T, Tolerance stack, and Tooling feasibility.
  • 2D/3D CAD preparation and detail engineering using Creo
  • Selection of various grades of plastic, rubber and metallic materials per application and cost viability.
  • Independently perform the task and can mentor the peers.
  • Communicate with cross-functional and cross-cultural team.

Must Have:

  • 4-5 years of experience in plastic product engineering.
  • Sound understanding of plastic, hyper-elastic and metallic materials
  • Knowledge of plastic injection molding process and simulation
  • Hands-on experience of Creo software & PDM windchill.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with GD&T, Tolerance Stack up analysis, DFM and DFMEA
  • Demonstrated leadership and technical qualities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.Tech./ BE in Mechanical/Plastic engineering.
  • Experience with GD&T, Tolerance Stack up analysis, DFM and DFMEA
