Join JLL's Finance team as a Finance Business Partner and become a key strategic advisor to our Business Line leadership across Australia and New Zealand, championing data-driven insights, process innovation, and financial performance optimization. 

 

What You'll Do: 

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership 

  • Partner with the Senior Finance Business Partner to support Business Line operations across Australia and New Zealand 

  • Promote and sustain a high-performance culture centered on JLL and Finance core values and behaviors 

  • Assist in setting challenging but achievable targets and drive business results 

  • Identify, lead, and support delivery of key projects aligned with business and finance objectives 

  • Leverage data insights to inform decision-making and business strategy 

  • Collaborate with other business lines and corporate services to ensure alignment with company objectives and drive growth 

  • Champion implementation of company-wide initiatives 

Business Performance & Commercial Analysis 

  • Share accountability with the SFBP and Business Line heads for financial performance 

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance and margin maximization 

  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and required actions to achieve targets 

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deliver insights utilizing finance and non-finance data to support business decision-making 

  • Provide critical evaluation and governance over business commercials including contracts, business investments, and people incentives 

  • Support and train business stakeholders on finance systems, processes, and revenue recognition requirements 

  • Build knowledge across the organization on business and margin performance drivers to inform commercial decision-making 

Financial Management & Reporting 

  • Own all finance responsibilities for the Business Line, including: 

  • Budget development and periodic forecasting 

  • Accuracy and compliance of business transactions and data with JLL policies 

  • Adherence to key deliverable timelines with high-quality, complete outputs 

  • Business Line level reporting and insights to internal stakeholders and ANZ leadership 

  • Deliver key geo-level reporting and finance insights to Geographic leads (~5% effort allocation) 

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all finance responsibilities 

Process Innovation & Continuous Improvement 

  • Identify and implement finance and business process improvements through automation and cost-effective resourcing 

  • Research and suggest innovation opportunities and best practice across business lines 

  • Support, training, and process improvement implementation to ensure efficient interaction with finance systems 

  • Proactively identify and deliver insights and opportunities to better inform business growth 

Stakeholder Relationship Management 

  • Maintain close working relationships with national and state heads of sub-business lines 

  • Build strong partnerships with function leads supporting the business 

  • Develop sufficient knowledge of business operations, challenges, and expected performance impacts 

  • Represent finance in a professional, collaborative, value-add, proactive, and high-performance manner 

 

What We're Looking For: 

Essential Requirements 

  • Relevant finance business partnering or commercial finance experience in professional services or similar environments preferably property 

  • CPA or CFA qualifications are mandatory 

  • Proven track record in business partnering with demonstrated success driving financial performance 

  • Advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting capabilities 

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract analysis and business investment evaluation 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels 

  • Hands-on, data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in commercial real estate, property services, or related industries 

  • Track record of implementing process improvements and automation initiatives 

  • Experience with financial systems and business intelligence tools 

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and compliance requirements 

  • Experience managing multiple business lines or geographic regions

Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Senior Finance Business Partner with a matrix reporting line to relevant sub-business line heads.
