The candidate will work directly with PEO Aircraft Carriers to ensure optimal operations. PEO Aircraft Carriers is tasked with supporting the design, development, construction, modernization, and life cycle management of Aircraft Carriers for the US Navy.


What you will do:


Provide programmatic and analytical support to PEO Carriers and the PEO Carriers Director of Strategic Initiatives (DSI) in the planning and execution of 3-4 Strategic Initiative (SI) Off-site events per CY. The Strategic Initiatives support will include:

  • Ensure alignment with the PEO Carriers DSI and other PEO Carriers senior leadership priorities and direction by meeting regularly with the DSI and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to discuss planning, execution, and other management related matters.
  • Create and maintain an Annual PEO Carriers SI report of progress for each SI Planning Group. This report will demonstrate progress and show metrics for planned efforts vs. complete efforts relating to aircraft carrier cost, schedule, and risk mitigation. Effort will be made to quantify progress to allow PEO Carriers leadership to assess value and aid in refining areas to commit resources and effort.
  • Conduct research to identify suitable venue options for review and selection by the PEO/ED. Accurately assess the SI Off-site facility costs (facility, IT, A/V, food & drink, lodging, and miscellaneous) and other defined, required criteria when developing COAs for review.
  • Ensure audio and visual equipment are set up and tested for in-person offsite meetings including ensuring all breakout group workspaces have the appropriate audio and visual support.
  • Improve knowledge sharing between SI working groups and the PEO Carriers PMOs by promoting knowledge sharing aligned with the mission and goals of PEO Carriers and supporting Government organizations.
  • Maintain applicable off-site rosters, invitations, and breakout group lists and ensure they are current, accurate, and formatted in accordance with requirements.
  • Assist in developing and updating agendas, distributing invites, providing technical support, preparing meeting minutes and action items, generating event reports, updating rosters, tracking and maintaining PEO Carriers SI Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and trackers, managing event scheduling, and assisting with post-meeting actions and follow-ups.
  • Plan meetings and logistics for PEO Carriers quarterly offsite meetings and in-person events as required. Manage the meeting request process, calendar inputs and updates, logistic preparations, scheduling and coordination of all SI program-level in-person events, periodic briefings to PEO Carriers leadership, working group planning meetings, planning drumbeats, and any other required meeting as assigned.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both the planning and execution phases of SI off-site events. Develop and distribute surveys for in-person events as require
  • Following each SI event, deliver meeting minutes to the DSI for review. Upon DSI approval, distribute meeting minutes and developed survey for completion to intended audience as required.
  • Ensure that the SI SharePoint/TEAMs calendars and correspondences are continually updated; manage SI SharePoint/Teams lists and libraries for standardization, accuracy, security, relevance, and volume.
  • Provide assistance, as needed, with drafting presentation briefs and off-site documents, and creating spreadsheets, flow charts, and process maps.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure read-ahead/presentation material are delivered and posted to applicable Sharepoint and/or MS TEAMS page.

You'll Bring these Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years experience with US NAVY Program Office
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Active DoD Secret clearance,
  • Great organizational skills, proficient with Microsoft Office suite, data analytics would be nice to have

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$71,500 - $150,200
