Job Description
The opportunity
We are actively seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our dynamic Actuarial team through our Specialist Actuarial Track Program. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will undergo a comprehensive two-rotation experience, which includes an international stint in one of our offices overseas, engaging with diverse aspects of actuarial work within the Actuarial Team.
Local Experience
During each rotation, the incumbent will be exposed to a variety of key responsibilities, including:
Basic Valuation Processes and Controls: Gain hands-on experience in conducting basic valuation processes and implementing controls for reserves and capital.
Assumption Setting and Monitoring: Participate in assumption setting processes and actively monitor experience studies to contribute to accurate financial assessments.
Embedded Value and Business Planning: Learn to evaluate embedded value and contribute to strategic business planning initiatives.
Par Fund Management: Engage in par fund management, understanding the intricacies of fund operations and optimizing performance.
Involvement in Special Projects: Contribute to special projects within the Par, Reinsurance Management, and Actuarial Business Management teams, gaining exposure to diverse challenges.
Actuarial Business Management: Understand and actively participate in the operational aspects of Actuarial Business Management
International Work Experience
The incumbent will have the exceptional opportunity to embark on an international rotation within Manulife, spanning a duration of 3-6 months through functions such as Finance, Modeling, Pricing, Product Development, Risk Management or Investments.
