JOB PURPOSE

The Country Station Manager for all Business Lines Sky Dining, Culinary Solutions, Airport Dining and Aviation Support is mainly responsible for increasing the operational efficiency of the respective country businesses. Ensure safe andefficient operations. Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues. Enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and look for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out any supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain constant communication with Cluster GM, management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization.
  • To develop short- and long-term goals and strategies in collaboration with the Cluster General Manager and ensure implementation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and quality assurance protocols.
  • Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity.
  • Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives. Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget. Analyze monthly operating costs and sales reports using data from the country’s P&L to define strategies for cost control, waste reduction, and productivity improvement. This includes forecasting trends and financial performance to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments.
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution.
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the proprietary tools and systems.
  • Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management
  • Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site.
  • To assist the HR Lead with Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed.
  • To assist the HR Lead to ensure that there are appropriate HR systems in place and implemented as per Company requirements.
  • Update business acumen by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, etc.
  • Ensure consistent quality in the delivery of services and products across all business lines, in alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Strengthen safety culture by proactively identifying risks, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by identifying growth opportunities, market trends, and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to optimize vendor selection, contract negotiation, and cost-efficiency across all business lines.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure achievement of operational and financial targets.
  • Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory bodies, community organizations, and key business partners, to ensure alignment with local expectations, compliance requirements, and long-term business sustainability.

Additional functions to be performed as needed:                                               

1) Oversee materials and inventory management related to all industrial catering, canteen, and ground services.

2) Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.

3) Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.

4) Track vendor pricing, rebates, and service levels

5) Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field
  • 8+ years of proven experience in an operations management position in multinational / complex companies. Airline, Airline Catering, Industrial Catering, Airline Ground Operations industry preferred
  • Knowledge of international business operations, labor laws, unions and collective agreements are preferred.
  • Possess a sharp business mind and proven success managing multiple departments toward maximum productivity.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team.
  • Strong budget development and oversight skills
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
  • Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes
  • Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) etc.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferable to manage financial data and reporting effectively.
  • Able to communicate in English orally and in writing; Spanish would be an asset but only required in Latin America countries.

Travel requirements

The position requires limited occasional domestic and international travelling.
