Leidos Health and Civil Sector Growth Office has an opening for a Senior Director for Personnel Readiness. The position is remote with travel for conferences and customer meetings.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director to join our team. The selected candidate should have a strong background in DoD Personnel Readiness and federal policy with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with OSD and Service leaders and key stakeholders in the health, wellness, resilience and readiness space. The Senior Director will work with the P&R/MHS Account Manager, Leidos Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Behavioral Health, senior leadership and Leidos Business Development and Capture and program teams to provide subject matter expertise and contact development in order to drive business growth and expansion within DoD, DHA, and P&R, as well as other civilian agencies, DHS, FAA, NASA, DOJ and others.  The Senior Director will leverage their industry knowledge and network to identify opportunities and drive revenue. Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to expand the current customer base and achieve business targets. 

The Senior Director for Personnel Readiness will provide strategic leadership, direction, oversight, and planning for all personnel readiness activities across the Health and Civil Sector.  This role will play a key role in collaborating with both internal and external business, clinical and operational leaders to drive the delivery and integration of personnel readiness initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and represent Leidos in the personnel readiness space both within Leidos and with external customer sets. Drive the expansion of Leidos’ reputation as a specialist in personnel readiness

  • With the P&R/MHS Account Manager, Contribute, Develop and Execute a comprehensive strategy to drive growth within the personnel readiness space

  • Under the direction of the P&R/MHS Account Manager, navigate the Personnel Readiness Campaign to develop and drive innovation through analytics, technology and other areas in the personnel readiness space on existing Leidos programs and in capturing new opportunities

  • Develop and guide the personnel readiness sales play and relationship plays initiatives to bring new offerings to existing customers or current offerings to new customers

  • Work in alignment with Leidos executive leadership across the company and externally to develop and identify personnel readiness new business initiatives within the DoD, DHA, P&R, individual Services, DHS, FAA, NASA, DOJ and others

  • Develop and work joint initiatives in the personnel readiness space between Leidos Health Solutions and Leidos QTC Health Services to include behavioral health, musculoskeletal, and data analytics capabilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including military and civilian government agencies, vendor partners and personnel readiness community, non-profit organizations

  • Provide thought leadership in writing/publishing papers, journal articles, and in attending relevant conferences and participating in panels

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and market insights to drive revenue growth

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals that meet the needs of clients to bid and win new business

  • Guide discussions with customers, ensuring favorable outcomes for Leidos

  • Monitor market trends, technology, opportunities to innovate and competitive activities, providing insights and recommendations to inform business strategy and to ensure Leidos is practicing the most relevant and innovative approaches to personnel readiness in order to enhance the readiness and resilience of Servicemembers and their families

  • Participate as required in the Leidos strategy and business development process, including pipeline reviews, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, and proposal reviews

  • Serve as a customer advocate by helping to identify mission needs and represent the customer perspective

Experience/Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years or master’s with 13+ years of prior relevant experience in DoD personnel space (additional education, training or experience may be considered in lieu of degree).

  • Strong network of relationships within DoD, DHA, P&R and the Services.  Relationships with civilian agencies and other Federal agencies are also desired.

  • Proven track record of success in driving strategy, shaping, discovering and marketing opportunities to drive revenue growth and achieving business targets

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans to achieve objectives

  • Relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME) in readiness and resilience

  • Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts

  • Knowledge of contract vehicles government process and procurements

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer value

  • Prior experience of collaboration efforts outside the organization

  • Experience in relationship building that increases market penetration and leads to increased opportunities with new and existing clients

  • Experience with breaking into new accounts / customers through effective tactics

  • Knowledge in the professional disciplines across the personnel readiness space

  • Ability to understand customer needs and help establish creative solutions

  • Ability to influence others in cross-functional disciplines

  • Experience and demonstrated competency in use of data analytics. Diagnostic skills necessary to understand and interpret complex data and to identify and solve problems.

  • Produce accurate and comprehensive work products with minimal direction

  • Maintain favorable interpersonal working relationships and positive public relations.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
