Position Overview:

We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from inception through closeout. Assistant PM acts as a key liaison between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities between contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones, deliverables, and potential delays

Financial Management

  • Track project costs against budgets and identify variances
  • Process payment applications, change orders, and invoices for approval
  • Maintain cost tracking systems and prepare financial reports

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout documentation
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, permit requirements, and contractual obligations

Quality & Safety Oversight

  • Support quality assurance/quality control programs and inspection processes
  • Monitor contractor compliance with safety plans and regulations
  • Participate in site inspections and document observations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 1-3 years of construction industry experience in progressively responsible roles
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, or infrastructure projects preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, means, and materials
  • Understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast-paced environments
