Members of this team are literally changing the state of the art of geospatial visualization and analysis tools. Our software is in use around the world, with an ever-expanding user base.

Work in a fast-paced environment providing quality assurance though the writing and execution of manual and automated regression testing. You’ll be supporting developers by testing new software as it is completed and supporting our customers directly with troubleshooting support. As a Test Team member, you will help ensure our products are providing the reliable performance that our customers require.

More About the Role:

  • Monitor deployment activity and coordinate with testers to ensure testing is executed and adequate
  • Prepare test management software for scheduled and ad-hoc testing events
  • Monitor test execution and ensure deficiencies are properly documented
  • Evaluate manual and automated tests to find opportunities to improve testing efficiency
  • Write and run client automated regression tests in Cypress.io
  • Write and perform manual regression testing procedures
  • Provide troubleshooting support for customers experiencing issues
  • Document bugs and design inefficiencies in the software
  • Assist developers in creating realistic testing scenarios

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must have currently hold an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance and polygraph preferred
  • University Degree (BA/BS) in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of related work experience in software test engineering/management
  • Agile software development and scrum management methodologies
  • Test engineering in government contracting
  • All aspects of software development: infrastructure, design, development, test/QA, deployment, monitoring and maintenance
  • Team management and facilitating collaboration and cohesiveness
  • Communicating with upper management, government customers, military/former military, and all aspects of a software engineering team

Required Skills:

  • Team player – support, back-up and collaborate with all levels of the engineering team and associated operations integration team
  • Take the initiative to address issues but communicate before you act
  • Strong communication – clear, concise, collaborative, comfortable presenting to groups, well-spoken/written, capable of delivering bad news to customers or employees
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks
  • Organized and capable of tracking multiple projects across several teams.
  • Ability to support strategic goals by prioritizing work and accomplishing it in the most appropriate order
  • Listening, “How can I help?”
    • Listen for innovative ideas
    • Listen to issues
    • Listen to off-the-wall concepts
    • And help execute, fix or develop
  • Travel is possible, but minimal

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with test automation software, specifically Cypress.io
  • Understanding of UI/UX best practices
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus: Jenkins, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Git, TestLink, Swagger, DBeaver, Docker/Kubernetes, Amazon Web Service (AWS), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and OGC WMS/WFS, HTML5, Javascript, Svelte, CSS, RESTful APIs

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,300 - 189,600 USD
