Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Head of New Business and Underwriting to assist in delivering strategic health transformation and excellency in Underwriting operations
  • Underwrite large amount and complex applications and review suggest cases within agreed turnaround time and ensure underwriting decisions complied with company’s rules and guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with distribution channels including agencies and brokers by delivering training, handling appeals, and serving as an expert resource for risk assessment of medical and critical illness products
  • Provide training to underwriters to enhance risk assessment quality and services towards best practices
  • Develop competitive and risk-based underwriting guidelines, requirements, procedures and practices
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes that impact underwriting and ensure underwriting practices comply with regulatory requirements and internal standards and procedures.
  • Undertake other roles and tasks that may arise to support Underwriting management
