Description:

Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, the Brand Activity Advisor is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing activities in the trade, including promotional materials, promotions, events and sponsorships. Please note: this role is a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the execution of promotions for the company's brands in collaboration with the sales and logistics department
  • Collaborate with internal departments, agencies and suppliers to ensure the best possible execution
  • Carry out activities within the allocated budget
  • Populate and maintain BTL (Below The Line) SMAC (Sales & Marketing Activity Calendar) activities through calendar maintenance, weekly calls and team notes 
  • Track progress of promotions by following up with the sales team to ensure successful execution
  • Inform the Trade Marketing Manager about changes to the schedule, to ensure that activities are recorded correctly in the calendar
  • Develop activations for small promotions, partnerships and events.
  • Manage communication with contest winners
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement and MUDA reduction practices
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian advertising laws and standards, and Liquor Control Board regulations
  • Adhere to the standards of quality and food safety programs to ensure compliance with legal safety and quality requirements
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing or related business field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing or trade marketing.
  • Experience in a consumer-packaged goods environment (CPG) considered an asset
  • Experience in project management
  • Great organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple teams.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Acceptable credit check

Work Conditions:

  • Travel required approximately 10% of the time
  • Occasional overtime required outside normal business hours
