Who will you be working with?

This position will work for our small, but growing, manufacturing and overhaul/repair facility located in Greenville. We have been in operation for over 50 years and offer fantastic benefits and stable work environment. Benefits include medical/dental/vision as well as many supplemental options at low rates. How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Transtech Team, you will be the technical expert who provides critical support to customers through all phases of the product life cycle. This is a key role in supporting the Industrial Sales department in the planning and execution of the business unit sales plan. In addition to being the technical resource for all field service related activities with the customer, this position will identify, manage and grow sales opportunities, prepare proposal cost estimates, manage internal reviews and initiate sales quotations. This role will require familiarity with the various industrial product lines and focuses on working with internal coworkers and external customers to make decisions on system selection, configuration and quoting within the boundaries of WABTEC established policies and procedures.

  • Ability to travel, up to 75% required

  • Engineering degree strongly preferred (or a high school diploma/GED combined with at least 5 years of experience in sales, technical sales, product management, or a related field)

  • 5+ Years of related experience desired

Other Required Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications

  • Drawing and schematic reading

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, mechanical aptitude a plus

  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit

  • Adaptable, team-oriented and effective communicator

  • Strong computer skills with office software

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively with a high attention to detail

What will your typical day look like?

Commercial customer relationship owner

  • Provide customer support to include technical support

  • Review and negotiate contracts and terms and conditions

  • Support project management for commercial needs

  • Coordinate with internal functions and customers to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Support industry trade shows with the broader Wabtec organization

Sales leader

  • Process and manage customer RFPs/RFQs

  • Issue quotations for OE and aftermarket opportunities

  • Design and create bill of materials of complete conductor systems for designated applications

  • Coordinate pricing and lead times internally and externally

  • Interface and support manufacturer sales reps for Industrial products

  • Support the development of marketing materials and collateral

Support Director of Sales

  • Support product pricing strategy

  • Support monthly forecasting activities

  • Support annual STRAP and budget activities

  • Organize contract reviews for new contracts

  • Develop strong product knowledge and become a subject matter expert

While this position is remote, it may include occasional work at a Wabtec office/site or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
