We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join an assisting role within our Renewable Energy department in Spain. As our new Assistant Underwriter, you will play a critical role in supporting our daily operations and ensuring smooth processes whilst assisting our underwriters of Renewable Energy projects across Spain.

You will work closely with a dedicated team to assess, analyze, and manage risk in renewable energy projects such as construction and operational risk in the wind and solar industries.

As our new Assistant Underwriter, your role will be essential in ensuring a smooth end-to-end process of business activities while supporting underwriters and business development efforts in our Spanish office.

You will support the underwriting and sales processes by assisting with documentation, offer preparation, mailing, maintaining the broker database, and overseeing contract administration.

You will also manage operational coordination for broker and account activities, including handling administrative tasks, collecting data, conducting market analysis, and generating reports

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling bookings and administrative support tasks such as premium tracking, contract management, and data input
  • Managing incoming and outgoing communication with clients and brokers
  • Owning specific low-level processes and client accounts
  • Organizing and maintaining files and databases
  • Preparing and formatting reports, proposals, and other documents for senior underwriters
  • Collaborating with various teams to ensure timely follow-up on business activities
  • Scheduling meetings and events, including coordinating logistics and materials
  • Attending relevant courses and internal underwriting meetings to continue learning and developing your expertise
