Swift is seeking a Release Manager / Deployment Coordinator Operations in the Netherlands. This outstanding opportunity offers the chance to work with an elite team dedicated to flawless software releases that support the global financial community.
As a Release Manager - Operations, you will lead all aspects of coordinating the deployment of software releases and updates in production environments. This role requires you to collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee the smooth execution of release processes including scheduling, deployment, monitoring, post-release support while rigorously adhering to operational requirements. Your mission will be to ensure minimal disruption and maximum reliability for all software deliveries.
Develop and handle release schedules in collaboration with development, QA, and IT operations teams.
Coordinate release activities across multiple teams to ensure that operational requirements are met.
Prepare and review release packages, ensuring all components are ready for deployment.
Handle the deployment of software releases to production and pre-production environments.
Coordinate the execution of deployment plans, including rollback procedures in case of failures.
Ensure all deployment activities are detailed and adhere to operational standards.
Ensure that all production and pre-production environments are accurately configured and ready for releases.
Manage environment availability and access in coordination with IT operations.
Identify operational risks associated with releases and work with teams to mitigate these risks.
Ensure that all release activities align with internal policies, external regulations, and security standards.
Assess and improve operational release processes, incorporating automation and standard methodologies to improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
Maintain detailed documentation of release planning, release changes, release deviations, release progress, and closure.
Provide regular status updates and post-release reports to collaborators.
2-4 years of experience in release management, IT operations, or related roles within a software development environment.
Experience handling software releases in large-scale production environments.
Strong knowledge of IT operations , ITIL or system administration, or network management.
Proficiency with release management and deployment tools like Jira, Confluence, and Service Now.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Skill in effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
