Starting at $16/hour with potential to earn up to $17/hour based on performance. This position is 100% work-from-office, remote work is not available.

About the job

As a First-Party Collections Agent, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer account management, payment negotiation and collection, as well as answering general inquiries about the customer’s account.

Main responsibilities

• Complete initial trace work using online tools and account systems
• Verifying consumer information
• Professionally negotiating with consumers and exploring money sources to determine the best possible arrangement
• Maximize revenue and achieve set goals and objectives
• Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
• Update customer files with appropriate information and ensure information being placed in customer files follow regulatory, client-specific, and corporate guidelines

Qualifications

• Customer centric
• Negotiation skills with a can-do attitude
• Excellent verbal, phone and email communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Candidates must be within travel distance to our Hampton office location
