Who You Will Work With:
The vacant Solution Architect role will report to the Leader, Product Foundation. You’ll collaborate with a diverse network of leaders, architects, and engineering teams to shape the future of secure, scalable money movement. Partnering closely with Product, platform, and client stakeholders, you’ll influence end-to-end architecture strategies across cloud, applications, and data. This role sits at the center of innovation—bringing together cross-functional expertise to design modern, resilient, and compliant solutions at scale.
What You Will Do:
Design, develop, and deploy hybrid, multi‑cloud, and cloud‑native architectures for money movement transformation initiatives aligned to client business requirements
Own solution architecture across infrastructure strategy, systems strategy, application architecture, communications strategy, and data center strategy
Lead creation of Solution Architecture, High‑Level Design (HLD), and Low‑Level Design (LLD) deliverables in collaboration with client architects and internal teams
Define end‑to‑end application architecture including application decomposition, layering, component design, and technology selection
Design API‑first, event‑driven, and microservices‑based application architectures
Define integration architecture across internal systems, external partners, and third‑party platforms
Design data architecture including logical and physical data models, ERDs, data flows, and persistence strategies
Create and review architecture artifacts including UML diagrams, ERDs, system interaction diagrams, and integration diagrams
Provide expertise in hybrid cloud platform security, governance, and compliance aligned to regulatory and payments requirements
Demonstrate strong understanding of hybrid cloud platforms including OpenShift, and AWS, and cloud service consumption models
Design cost‑effective, scalable, and resilient cloud and application solutions
Define and design High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies across application, platform, and data layers
Apply architecture best practices using reference architectures, industry patterns, and reusable service assets
Own accountability for solution performance, availability, scalability, resiliency, and security and assess impact on client infrastructure and application ecosystems
Collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and DevOps teams to define automation strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
What You Bring:
10+ years of experience in the design and delivery of complex, large‑scale IT projects
3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect providing hands‑on technical leadership for end‑to‑end design, delivery, and management of hybrid cloud solutions using AWS, and OpenShift.
Cloud Solution Architect certification with a major cloud provider such as AWS, or OCP
Proven experience designing and delivering cloud‑native solutions using microservices, containers, and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Strong experience in REST API design, API gateways, Swagger/OpenAPI standards, and OAuth‑based security
Experience leading large programs delivered using globally distributed teams across onsite, nearshore, and offshore models
Strong experience working with Agile delivery methods and DevOps practices
Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, fault‑tolerant, and resilient systems
Solid understanding of data center concepts and best practices including high availability, capacity planning, performance evaluation, and diagnostic techniques

The hiring range for this position is $125K-145K base, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
